CJ Vinson was born on April 4th 1982 in Princeton NJ. He first started playing guitar when he was 12 years old and began writing music when he was 18 years old. CJ's real name is Chris, but he decided it wasn't bad ass enough of a name for a musician. He went by numerous aliases such as Buck Lancelot, Butrus Butrus Gally V, Dr. Wompum, The Artist formerly known as Dr. Wompum, XXX, Snarf McDouglas, and Lushis before finally settling on CJ Vinson.
In 2007, CJ moved to New York's Lower East Side where he currently lives and writes.
Greg Vinson has a tendency to go missing for days only to end up in the back room of the Taj Mahal Casino in Atlantic City passed out under a table of no limit Texas Hold'em. Greg has written numerous lyrically driven acoustic songs, but when he puts on a leather vest he turns into his alter ego "The Darkness", a face melting, lead guitar, freak show.
Mike Tusay has performed all over the United States and in Japan. He sings, plays guitar, drums, keyboard, bass guitar and harmonica. He has been playing professionally for 12 years and hopes to continue to do so for the rest of his life.
In addition to performing, Michael is an adamant teacher of music. He has been teaching privately for five years, having taught close to 50 students on a variety of instruments in all different genres. Right now, he has over 20 students throughout the Hopewell Township area in Mercer County, NJ.
Michael also enjoys traveling, tennis, surfing, and spending time with his friends and family.
Julian Rosse has played bass in rock, jazz, folk, country, klezmer, and other types of bands starting in middle school. He has more recently diversified to play some drums and guitar. He's pretty obsessed with Phish and Ryan Adams right now. Other heavy influences include Ween, the Benevento/Russo Duo, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, STS9, and Radiohead.
Besides playing music, he is a computer programmer (responsible for this website) who heartily endorses Python and open source in general. He wants to live in Brooklyn. He met CJ at a How to Be Cool seminar. He was actually looking for the I'm Already Cool seminar next door but has bad eyesight and the rest is history.
